Possessing a diverse range of interests and experience, Albuquerque-based attorney Kathy Love began her college education at Hanover College, a small college in southern Indiana. She transferred to Ball State University, where she graduated with a double major in political science and telecommunications a minor in journalism. After graduating, Kathy Love spent a year living in Washington, D.C. where she worked as a paralegal for Wiley, Rein and Fielding. Kathleen Love moved on to law school at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago where she also worked at a large law firm, Kirkland and Ellis. She later joined the University of New Mexico School of Law as a visiting student before obtaining her Juris Doctor from DePaul. After law school, Kathy Love had her greatest professional luck of all time: she met her current law partners who quickly became close friends as well as professional colleagues. Ms. Love felt so at home in New Mexico that she chose to dedicate her professional career to its community.Kathleen Love practices as a partner with McGinn, Carpenter, Montoya and Love, P.A. and has received some of the highest accolades the profession offers, including being named one of the Best Lawyers in America and a Super Lawyer. As dedicated as she is to her career, Kathy Love is even more dedicated to her family. She and her husband and son enjoy spending all their free time together, watching Premier League soccer, the World Cup, playing soccer and baseball in the back yard, riding bikes and swimming.
